Facebook has lately but correctly allowed the posts in GIF format to be published as new posts or news feed. The leading social media platform “Facebook” has confirmed the news saying they have turned on the support for GIF Feature to allow its users; go and express them in a friendlier and brighter way.

“GIF is basically an image-based format that supports both the animated and static images”.

The feature was recently allowed by Twitter and it saw a massive attention of the brands as GIF is relatively the preferred and light-weight format for sharing media files on social media platform.

Facebook was mainly relying on the video that autoplays as a thoughtful alternative of GIF but now has allowed the option of GIF to be used in status updates and news posts.

You can now easily drag a GIF link from varying sources and paste it into the status updates section of your profile on Facebook and a GIF preview will be available.

All the other recognized social media platforms like Google+, Reddit and Tumblr etc. had already installed the GIF feature to let their users avail this easy-going feature and with Facebook supporting GIF now comes as a soothing advancement in the world of digital media.
